How to style your entry way!

Posted by KNUS Home Decor on

To make a house a home, you need to think of bringing in things you love, something that warms the nostalgia of your memories and will create lovely center pieces.
The entry way is one place where you can play around with design and immediately influence the mood of your guests when they visit or when you come home to your sanctuary.

Here are a few tips on how to style your entry way.
1.
By adding a few baskets to your entry way, you will be able to hide clutter quick and easy before you welcome your guests. It is also great for storing shoes to avoid dirty steps. Put them under the console table or next to the door.
2.
Use a rug to add a pop of personality to the space. Rugs are perfect for adding texture & colour to a space. Think of easy cleaning rugs like Dhurrie’s or Sisal rugs.
3.
Oversized mirror or art. Not only does a mirror reflect lovely light to make your entry way feel fresh & airy, you also have a spot for last minute hair checks. Art is a wonderful way to make an impact and is an easy way to constantly keep your entry way on trend.
4.
A console table is perfect for binding all the entry way essentials. Add a few of your favourite art books & bowls to catch keys.
5.
Lighting is important, keep the lights low for evenings with two similar lamps that will provide your styled space with height.
6.
Add a few trinkets that you picked up on your travels. Bring in plants to liven up the space. Display your finds in interesting ways like beautiful pebbles, that you found in Florence, and put them in a vintage glass dome.

With these few steps you will easily create your dream entry way which can be constantly updated depending on your mood.
