Make your baby's first home a special one with a nursery that's cute, calming and creative! This week our blog is about all things nursery & we're sharing a few great ideas for creating the perfect nursery for your little one. So read on and get creative while you still have a say about their room before those teenage years (wink-wink)
1. Add some textures
Neutral colours & textures will create a warm feeling in your nursery. You can add texture through rugs, blankets, plants, wall hangings or wall art or even patterned scatters.
2. A cosy corner for the changing table
Create a cosy, practical corner for the changing table with floating shelves, fun art prints, baskets and more. It might also be clever to choose a changing table with drawers instead of one with open shelves, this way you'll be able to keep all the necessities close by without creating a cluttered space.
3. Add fun furniture pieces
Fun furniture pieces should be synonymous with a nursery. Adding a bookshelf in the form of a dollhouse instantly adds a playful aspect to the room plus your little one will love this!
4. Get creative with the walls
Adding funky wallpaper designs to the walls will also add a playful aspect to the room. Here it might also be clever to decide on a design they'll still love when they're older. You can also add some art prints, photographs in pretty frames to create a cute gallery wall.
5. Add some funky lights or wall scones
Wall scones will free up tabletops - saving you space for all those nappies, toys, dummies etc. You can also add a funky lamp or two for a playful touch to the room.
